Responsibilities

 

In this role, the shortlisted candidate will be responsible to perform the following:

 

Forecasting:-

 

  • Own the S&OP (sales and operations planning process), arriving at the consensus plan of record that describes demand, supply and inventory expectations.
  • Oversee and manage forecasting process including baseline forecasting and ensure that item-level forecast of all finished goods items are reviewed and updated
  • Asses the effectiveness of Material Planning control points and provide recommendations / remediations to improve material availability and optimize inventory
  • Set up and maintain master data across multiple planning and execution systems understanding connectivity between the systems.

 

Analytics & Reporting:-

 

  • Design and develop advance level forecasting related reports / presentations as outlined by the senior management.
  • Develop S&OP performance reports, root cause variations and provide recommendations
  • Resolve all data disputes through Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action
  • Design, develop, and maintain various analytical reports based on other relevant supply chain data such as product shipments, backlog, inventory on-hand, etc.
  • Identify, prioritize, structure, and solve complex supply chain problems using data mining, analytics and business judgement.
  • Drive automation and simplification within our processes in line with the company philosophy through CI and co-operative work stream planning

 

Qualifications

 

Minimum qualifications

 

Graduate degree in Operations, MBA (Ops) or Industrial engineering or equivalent with a strong academic record.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Wide experience within an inventory management function such as Inventory Controller/Planner preferably in a hi-tech Finished goods / service parts planning environment.
    • Good exposure to broader supply chain domain and inventory concepts such as S&OP, forecasting, Demand planning, Supply Planning, safety stock, reorder point, min/max setting, last time buy, forecasting, etc.
  • Previous experience of ERP systems such as Oracle (Servigistics), JDA, O9 solution, Kinaxis, SAP or bespoke company tailored inventory planning systems.
  • Prior experience to demonstrate ability to analyze large and complex datasets, analyze the patterns and draw actionable plans.
  • Ability to operate within a global organization and to demonstrate cultural awareness.
  • Sound commercial and business acumen with a keen eye on internal and external global market factors and trends.
  • APICS certifications like CPIM, CSCP is an advantage.

 

Preferred Skills

  • Good working knowledge of MS office suite with a strong background in MS Excel.
    • Create quick ad-hoc reports, summarize various analyses (excellent handling of pivot tables), perform trend analysis, identify patterns, etc.
  • Tech Savvy person with ability to learn and use new tools such as MS Power BI, Oracle OAC.
  • Excellent time management and effective multi-tasking skills to manage short-term and long-term deliverables along with a flexibility in work hours (on an exceptional basis).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to clearly understand and implement client requirements and effectively communicate work output.
  • Good managerial and individual skills with a capacity to work independently and perform “hands-on” tasks as well as effectively balance workload among team members.
  • Be a team player and drive for process automation through CI methodology and co-operative work stream planning skills.
  • Able to challenge the status quo and drive for high performance along with strong collaborative and influencing skills.
